If you are not a resident of the state of Montana you may have a
firearm shipped to an Federal Firearm Licensed (FFL)
dealer in your state for transfer to you. Any firearm shipped must
be transferred through an FFL. To transfer a firearm interstate - the
customer (that's you) must provide us with FFL information - name, address,
phone number, and a copy of the FFL's license signed in ink (preferably blue or
red). Upon receipt of the firearm, your FFL will transfer the item to
you. By federal law we are required to have a hand signed, in ink,
photocopy of the receiving FFL's license on file prior to shipment. An
FFL's license which is faxed or has a stamped or photocopied signature will not
be accepted - this is the law. The single most common problem in
completing a transaction with an out-of-state individual is having received the
proper FFL information.
